This past thursday it was time to finally unleash the complete 4-ELEMENTS series, featuring 4 unique basketballs limited to 444 pieces per element and four artists worldwide. K1X and the notorious Overkill Shop in Berlin celebrated the global release in style. Our man Harris aka Dj BinIchNich provided the soundtrack while friends, fans and family turned out in bunches to get a first glimpse at the project. Special thanks to artists Marok and Mode2, who also dropped by to see their work in full effect. Check out the pics as well the video to get an impression of what you missed if you weren’t there…

Hi Folks,

according to our SMU Release on 09/01/2010 we did a cooperation with the Berlin Art Project “Write the Wall”. Therefor berlin graffiti artists BOA, HOCUS & DURO256 painted a 20m long piece of the original berlin wall that was especaially rebuild for this art show.
As some people might remember the former berlin wall was completely painted during the cold war. At that time lots of artist expressed theire feelings and wishes to end this war on one of the biggest canvases ever seen.
Our aim was to bring back the spirit, even a little, to show what Berlin and Overkill is all about: reminiscence of a tubulent history, living today and make the best of now and rocking the future with style.

K1X – 4 ELEMENTS 4 ICONS 4 BASKETBALLS I A LIMITED ARTIST SERIES

The launch of K1X‘ “4-E” collection in january at Overkill is highlighted by a limited artist series of unique K1X basketballs. Four distinguished icons from the realm of graphic art were asked to unleash their creativity and go one-on-one with hoop culture’s most fundamental ingredient: the basketball. Marok (WATER), Frank 151 featuring Stay High 149 (AIR), Bill McMullen (FIRE) and Mode2 (EARTH) brought their usual A- game and interpreted one force of nature each. All four balls are strictly limited to 444 units worldwide and available at selected retail locations only. The official global release event will take part @ Overkill on 21/01/2010
