Consortium EQT 91/18 in unserem Onlinestore kaufen.

Here we go:

Overkill: Congratulations Mike, you just released a super limited collaboration with adidas about a week ago and the upcoming weekend another adidas Consortium collaboration will hit the stores. You also renovated your Teaneck location and have more than doubled its size. Since adidas and Packer Shoes have such a long history, is this EQT Adventure/ Outdoor Pack meant as a recognition for all the hard work that you have put into this relationship?

Mike Packer: Thank you. The renovation of our Teaneck location illustrates the evolution of the Packer brand. Not only are we providing specially curated product but also an interactive experience with our customers, which is also indicative of the long lasting relationship we have with adidas. With our latest installation, we were able to showcase the Past, Present and Future through the stories of the OG EQT, EQT 91/18, and the Future of 4D.

Overkill: The super limited EQT ’91 pays tribute to the early days of EQT, with the upcoming EQT 91/18 you chose a modern silhouette to work on. What’s more fun for you, putting your hands on an archive model with history or maybe making history yourself by designing a future classic?

Mike Packer: It really is a combination of both. This latest collaboration is special. The story of the EQT allowed us to evolve an OG model while also bringing life to something new and modern. We kept in mind consumers who remember and appreciate the OG as well as the new consumer who has been appreciating the more recent Boost technology. Do we consider it to be a future classic? Only time will tell, however, the backstory and design prove to be timeless and the response we’ve received thus far has been incredible.

Overkill: On the upcoming EQT 91/18 you used the original EQT green for the Three Stripes. Is there a certain inspiration for the whole color scheme and is the shoe outdoor approved?

Mike Packer: The entire EQT line is rich with history. The goal was to maintain that while also giving this classic some new flavor. For the design, we drew inspiration from outdoor/adventure adidas catalogs from the early 90s, whose style can be seen in our most recent look book. Using the original EQT green as a centerpiece for the collection allowed us to take a modern spin on the 91/18 and mold it with true EQT heritage. As for being waterproof, they are not. I guess we did a good job bringing it to life in our look book.

Overkill: Do you have a personal history with the EQT line?

Mike Packer: From a historical perspective, the EQT line is undeniably one of the key pillars within adidas history. When the EQT was re-introduced in the US nearly 5 years ago, we were able to work on two colorways of the EQT Support. Those two color ways hit home as we combined both the history and heritage of the brand in a way that the EQT had never been brought to life before. We’ve always had a long history of championing the EQT line and are excited to see what the future continues to bring.

Overkill: Thanks a lot Mike, for taking time to answer some questions. Hope to talk to you soon.

Mike Packer: You’re welcome. Having an interview like this around our EQT Pack, it only makes sense that it is with Overkill.
