…armed with a few early uk garage plates and an mc by his side, BestMate? began his voyage into the art of selecting. Mostly found producing, at house parties, on pirate radio, promoting and playing illegal & legal raves in london warehouses and the surrounding forests, a weekly night in a backstreet bar and occasional trips to the now deceased stratford rex with a bag of plates ranging from uk garage, grime, hip hop, breaks, jungle, drum n bass.
Now in Berlin for the last half a decade with an ever changing mixed bag of tricks containing anything from afro beat, funk and dub to dubstep, house and the occasional acid techno, BestMate? can be found making regular guest appearances at MTY STG and Tropical Timewarp events, a monthly night at Yaam and various other bars & raves in and around Berlin.
